As you sense connections of different bones and joints in movement, any parts that have been "disarranged" in a pattern of stiffness or pain, "fall" into place- full cooperation of whatever intention you have.

The Feldenkrais Method
increases our self awareness and leads us to discover invigorating, pain-free ways to move and be- whether it's playing the violin, swinging a tennis racket, lifting a child, getting in or out of a chair, driving, working at a computer, or simply lying down.
Based on the inseparable nature of mind and body, Feldenkrais uses gentle, novel movements to access the brain's capacity to upgrade functional patterns. This concrete, practical application of neuroplasticity enhances movement, thinking and emotion. When we move more easily, our posture and breathing improve by themselves; we generally feel better about ourselves and our sense of possibility comes to life. 

Each of us has this ability to continuously learn and improve throughout life- how we move, think and interact. As a Feldenkrais Teacher, working with a small child or an older adult, I guide my students toward having fewer limitations, generating greater joy for learning, discovering new ways to do what they want with increasing ease, comfort and grace, and moving closer to their full creativity and potential.

The Anat Baniel Method for Children is based on The Feldenkrais Method. This work has often helped children with special needs reach goals beyond what is expected from other approaches, and that parents may have been told are not possible.
